Terror suspects escape from police custody
[DAWN] PESHAWAR: Two suspected snuffies beat feet from custody under mysterious circumstances at Gulbahar cop shoppe on Tuesday night prompting the police high-ups to order an inquiry against the station house officer concerned.Official sources said that the two suspects, whose names could not be verified, were taken into custody a few days ago in connection with an attack on a team of Rider Squad police here. The attack had resulted in death of one police official identified as Janat Gul and injuries to the other. Following the occurrence, SSP Dr Mian Saeed has ordered an inquiry against the SHO concerned. Two gunnies of the SHO have also been taken into custody. An official said that the two terror suspects fled away during their shifting from one portion of the cop shoppe to another for interrogation.
