In a statement today, Wednesday, the Support Forces said that an imminent attack was expected by the Samoud (Steadfastness) Front.

It was set up last month by Badi after two of of the largest Misratan brigades in the Libya Dawn alliance made peace deals with local forces in the area west of the capital and pulled out.

Twenty armed vehicles bearing Samoud Front logos are said to have arrived outside the Mellitah complex.

The Support Forces are the autonomous local militias, such as from Zintan and the Warshefana, which are supported and directed by the LNA.

The announcement follows protests last night in the area at the death sentences on Saif Al-Islam, Abdullah Senussi and other Qadaffy regime figures by a court in Tripoli.

The road between Al-Jmail and Zuwara was blocked with a sand barrier.
