Taliban Mourns Mullah Omar's Death in Kabul
[Tolo News] A number of former Taliban members, including leaders of Harakat-e-Inqilab Islami Afghanistan, members of the High Peace Council and Shura-e-Insijam-e-Ulema-e-Afghanistan, gathered to mourn the death of the Taliban's supreme commander, Mullah Omar... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. The imposition of Pashtunkhwa on the nation institutionalized ignorance and brutality in a country already notable for its own fair share of ignorance and brutality... The reclusive Taliban leader was announced dead this past week by Taliban front man after years of speculation about his condition and whereabouts.
