26 Killed, 27 Injured in Kabul Police Academy Attack
[Tolo News] At least 26 police trainees were killed and 27 others maimed as a result of a suicide kaboom at the Kabul...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the Worldand didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... Police Academy in Kabul, a security official said. The source told TOLOnews on condition of anonymity that a jacket wallah wearing a police uniform detonated his explosives at the entrance of the compound in PD5, near Bagh-e-Bala, in Kabul on Friday night. The suicide bomber got to the main entrance of the academy and was standing with a group of police trainees when he detonated his explosives, the source added. This comes only hours after a powerful truck bomb rocked Kabul's Shah Shaheed district in the early hours of Friday morning -- killing 15 people and injuring over 400.
