SHC advocate shot dead in Karachi
[DAWN] An advocate of Sindh High Court was rubbed out in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Bloody Karachi...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... on Friday evening, according to police. Giving details, the police said Syed Ameer Hyder Shah was travelling in his car when three suspects riding a cycle of violence opened indiscriminate fire at him near Hassan Square, and later managed to flee the scene of the crime. Shah sustained critical bullet wounds and was transported to a nearby private hospital where doctors pronounced him dead He's dead, Jim! , said Gulshan SP Abid Qaimkhani. The SP hinted that the murder of Shah could be linked to his professional work as the victim tended to plead cases before anti-terrorism courts.
