Mortar round hits upscale area of Damascus, child killed
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Syria's official news agency SANA says a mortar round has hit an upscale central Damascus neighborhood, killing a child and wounding four people.It is not uncommon for Damascus to be shelled. Sunday's attack targeted the posh neighborhood of Abu Rummaneh, which houses hotels and several embassies. The agency, quoting a police official, said a girl was killed in the attack, AP said. An News Agency that Dare Not be Named news hound on the scene saw two people maimed by shrapnel. Vehicles in the area were also damaged.
