Saudi authorities confiscate 12 tons of Hasheesh

Three people were killed and more injured as Saudi security forces came under fire during the operations. The dead were two suspected of drugs offences and a security officer. Nine suspects and 25 security officers were maimed in the operations. The 1309 arrested - made up of 453 Saudis, and 856 of 35 different nationalities - are accused of smuggling, taking and the sale of narcotic substances, the statement from the ministry added.
