Mine blast tears Thai ranger in half
[Bangkok Post] A ranger was killed by a mine explosion while a patrol was providing security for teachers on a road in Pattani province, on Wednesday morning. Panare district police chief Panyawat Phetchum said the six-member patrol was on foot. Ranger Putthapong Homsoong stepped on a land mine, detonating it. The powerful blast tore his body in half.
