Karo Kari A Brutal Tradition from Pakistan
Two killed over Karo-KariJACOBABAD: Two persons, including a man, were killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari near Kashmore on Monday. One Qabool Sawand shot dead his daughter Mst Nooran Khatoon and her alleged paramour Noor Muhammad Soomro in village Qabool Sawand in the jurisdiction of Gibloo police station of Taluka Kashmore, district Jacobabad. The alleged killer fled the scene after the twin-killings. Police said Qabool suspected that her daughter had illicit relations with Noor Muhammad Soomro. Karo-Kari is basically killing of a man and a woman who are suspected to have illicit relations. It is also a very sick way of killing in which axe is the preferred weapon. These barbarians also have another favourite method, if they owe you money they go home and kill one of the women call her kari and proclaim you as karo.
