Sar-e-Pul's Kohistanat District Falls to Taliban
[Tolo News] Assadullah Khurram, a member of Sar-e-Pul provincial council has said that the Taliban - after two days of massive festivities with the Afghan troops managed to seize control of Kohistan...a backwoods district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa distinguished by being even more rustic than is the norm among the local Pashtuns.... at district of northern Sar-e-Pul province on Saturday evening. He claimed that several requests for reinforcements and air strikes on Taliban had been dispatched to central government, however, the government didn't take the call seriously, an issue which finally led to collapse of the district. He said that there is no report about the conditions of Afghan cops deployed in the district. Reports indicate that the Taliban has also destroyed communication towers of telecom companies.
