20 Daesh militants killed in Nangarhar's Achin District

The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. province. Ministry of Interior says 20 gunnies have been killed in fresh festivities with security forces. According to the ministry, the festivities erupted during security operation in Abdulkhil area of Achin District last night. Since the last five days, Daesh have suffered heavy casualties in Achin District. They carried out two large-scale coordinated attacks on a number of security posts in this district which were rebuffed by security forces. Local officials say more than 200 gunnies have been killed and as many maimed during the past five days. Achin which shares border with Pakistain is one of the restive districts of Nangarhar province.
