Gunmen seize mayor, son in Mindanao
[Mindanao Examiner] Gunmen have seized the mayor of Loreto town and his son an attack on his house late Monday in Agusan del Sur province.There were reports that the New People's Army may have carried out the daring raid in retaliation for Mayor Dario Otaza's support for the government's anti-insurgency campaign. Otaza is also a former member of the communist insurgent group and surrendered to the government to become a politician.
