UK hints Russia plane brought down by bomb
"While the investigation is still ongoing we cannot say categorically why the Russian jet crashed. But as more information has come to light, we have become concerned that the plane may well have been brought down by an explosive device," the office of Prime Minister David Cameron said. Pending receipt of forensic data, played back the pre-event Special Intelligence collection and bounced that against post-event. Just a guess. An Egyptian source close to the black box investigation also said "the cause of the crash looks more like an explosion but it not clear whether it was linked to fuel or a bomb". I believe the Brits were the first to announce. Of course they still maintain a constructive intelligence sharing protocol with Egypt and Israel, which might have been helpful.
