Death sentence in tea shop massacre
 [The Nation] Pattani's provincial court has handed out a death for to a man for gunning down five people at a tea shop in Panare district on February 3, 2011. The verdict stated that Asamal Jehba was guilty of conspiring to launch the drive-by attack at the tea shop, which also resulted in four injuries. Another defendant, Aliyasa Samoh, was acquitted.In June, Asamal was sentenced to 38 years in jail in a separate national security case and the court is scheduled to read the verdict in yet another national security case on November 30.
