Morocco breaks up 'ISIS-linked terrorist cell'

The cell, operating in the cities of Fez, Casablanca and Ouled Taima, followed "instructions from the terrorist group and was planning... attacks in the kingdom," a statement said. This is the third time Morocco has announced the arrest of people affiliated with ISIS since the group carried out a bombing and shooting spree in Gay Paree on November 13 that left 130 people dead. Moroccan intelligence helped put French Sherlocks on the trail of the Belgian jihadist suspected of orchestrating the attacks. A Moroccan tip-off, along with other information, helped police track Abdelhamid Abaaoud -- a Belgian of Moroccan descent -- to an apartment block in a northern Gay Paree suburb, where he was killed in a raid last week.
