Mob lynches suspected robber in Karachi
 [DAWN] KARACHI: A suspected robber was beaten to death by an angry mob in Korangi area of Bloody Karachi...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... on Monday, police said. An enraged mob got hold of a 'burqa-clad' couple who were escaping after staging an alleged robbery attempt at a beauty parlour in Korangi number 4 area of the metropolis. The man, later identified as Mohsin Raza, 25, was severely tortured by mob before police took him to the hospital, where he departed this vale of tears, Korangi SHO told media. The police officer said that the man breathed his last at Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) while his wife was rescued by the police. A pistol was recovered from the female suspect's purse. Back in August, a suspected robber-cum-murderer, Gul Badshah, was killed in New Karachi in a similar way. The police had said that the suspected robber along with his accomplice had tried to deprive one Hafeez Haq of cash and valuables in sector 5-M of New Karachi. When Haq offered resistance, the duo opened fire, killing him on the spot.
