Maoists free Philippine soldier held for three months
[Inquirer] Maoist militants released on New Year's Eve a soldier who was seized by the insurgents more than three months ago.

Sgt. Adriano Bingil was received by local officials in Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte province, on Thursday, said Capt. Joe Patrick Martinez. Bingil, from Cagayan de Oro City, was snatched at gunpoint by New People's Army guerrillas as he was passing by a rebel roadblock in San Luis, Agusan del Sur, on September 19.
