Bomb kills ranger in southern Thailand
 [The Nation] A Thai ranger was killed Wednesday morning after militants detonated a homemade bomb to ambush his patrol unit in Narathiwat province. Police said Maneethorn Kanchanakarn and 11 other rangers were on patrol when insurgents set off a gas cylinder bomb to ambush them.
