Turkmenbashi: Poet, Statesman
Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov read his own poems on the air of all three channels of the national television. "I have presented you a selection of poems from my new poetic work entitled "The Spring of Inspiration." I hope that you will express your opinion about it," the president said after the 1.5-hour recitation in the Palace of Rukhiet. The above-mentioned collection of the Turkmen president's poems is slated to be released in the beginning of October.
