Security guard, wife gunned down in southern Thailand
[Bangkok Post] A village security guard and his wife were gunned down at a rubber plantation in Yala province early on Monday morning. Duty officer Chamnong Kaewpimol said Ma-ae Limada-i and his wife left their house to tap latex at a plantation near their village. When they had not returned home by 8 a.m., their relatives went to the plantation to fetch them as it was time for Ma-ae to go on security patrol at the village school. Instead they found both of them lying dead, having been shot many times each. Police believed at least two attackers had hidden in the plantation.
