Gunmen attack traffic policeman’s house using grenade in eastern Baghdad(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, a police source announced, that unidentified gunmen threw a hand grenade on a traffic policeman’s house in eastern Baghdad. The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “At noon today, unidentified gunmen threw a hand grenade on the house of an officer working in the General Directorate of Traffic in al-Obaidi area in eastern Baghdad,” pointing out that, “The hand grenade inflicted material damage on the house without any casualties.” The source added, “A security source rushed to the area and opened an investigation into the incident.” 1 Iraqi kopper dies (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, a source in the Ministry of Interior announced, that five policemen had been either killed or wounded in the explosion of an explosive device north of Baghdad. The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “At noon today, an explosive device emplaced on the roadside exploded when a police patrol passed in Tarmiya District north of Baghdad, killing one of the patrol’s occupants and wounding four others.” The source added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the dead body to the forensic medicine department and the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, while cordoned off the area of the incident and prevented approaching it.” Posted by: badanov 2016-01-20 |
