12 ISIS elements killed in clashes with Jabour tribe south of Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Saturday, Kurdistan Democratic Party in Nineveh Province announced, that 12 elements of the so-called the Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) were killed in clashes with a tribe that refused to join the organization south of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad).

The Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Spokesman in Mosul Saeed Mamousini said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, armed clashes broke out between the ISIS elements and Jabour tribe after refusing to join ISIS on the outskirts of Qayyarah area south of Mosul,” pointing out that, “12 ISIS elements were killed and dozens were wounded during the clashes.”

Mamousini added, “ISIS fighters forced the youth of Qayyarah to join their forces.”

Noteworthy, ISIS took over the city of Mosul in Nineveh Province (405 km north of Baghdad) in the tenth of June 2014, while extended its terrorist activities to other areas of Iraq and committed many violations against humanity.

400 ISIS fighters killed recently in outskirts of Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Saturday, Kurdistan Democratic Party in Nineveh Province announced, that 400 fighters of the Islamic State in Iraqi and Syria (ISIS) were killed in the outskirts of Mosul during the past few days, while pointed out that Peshmerga forces become stronger and has the ability to liberate any area.”

The Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Spokesman in Mosul Saeed Mamouzini said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “ISIS terrorist gangs attack the Peshmerga forces in the outskirts of Mosul from time to time, but they are not able to control the land,” noting that, “400 ISIS fighters were killed during the last few days.”

Mamouzini added, “Peshmerga forces have become stronger and more capable to fight ISIS,” pointing out that, “The Peshmerga forces have all the needed weapons and equipment, as well as the ability to liberate any area.”

“ISIS in Mosul suffered a major collapse in its ranks that led its leaders to execute dozens of ISIS members who retreated from the combat axes,” Mamouzini continued.

ISIS executes 3 Afghan leaders tried to escape from Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – On Saturday, a source in Nineveh Province announced, that the ISIS executed three of its Afghan commanders for trying to escape from the city of Mosul (405 km north of Baghdad).

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Today, ISIS executed three of its Afghan leaders in Mosul who tried to escape across the Syrian borders.”

The source added on condition of anonymity, “The execution was carried out by firing squad in front of a crowd of citizens in the center of the city of Mosul.”

Iraqi forces are preparing to launch Mosul offensive, says Obeidi

(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi announced, that the security forces are preparing for the battle of Mosul with the participation of various paramilitary forces.

Obeidi was quoted during his visit to Cairo as saying: “The Iraqi defense ministry announced security plans to launch the Mosul liberation operations from ISIS militants,” adding that, “Tens of thousands of volunteer fighters will participate in the battle alongside the government forces.”

He also pointed out, “The Iraqi army and security forces in coordination with the international coalition managed to defeat ISIS in Anbar province and Ramadi city in particular.”

Kurdish and American officials however, are less sure about any such plan.
