IDF arrests Palestinian lawmaker, former official
[IsraelTimes] Parliamentarian Hatem Qafisha and former minister Issa Al-Jabari among six men taken in for questioning overnight SaturdayIDF soldiers overnight Saturday tossed in the slammer Into the paddy wagon wit' yez! two prominent Paleostinians along with four others suspected of terror activities in the West Bank. Hatem Qafisha, a Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, member of the Paleostinian Legislative Council, and Issa Al-Jabari, former Paleostinian minister of local government, were arrested in Hebron. They have both been detained many times in the past by security forces. The two men were transferred to the Shin Bet security service for questioning. Four other Paleostinians were arrested by the Israel Defense Forces in raids across the West Bank on suspicion of involvement in so-called "popular terrorism."
