10 civilian killed, wounded in bomb blast north of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, a source in the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced, that ten people were either killed or wounded in a bomb blast north of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “A bomb exploded, at noon today, in Hamamiyat area in Taji District north of Baghdad, killing two people and wounding eight others.”

The source, on condition of anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and evacuated the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine department, while carried out an operation to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”

Security forces seize caches of weapons south of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A source in the Iraqi police said on Tuesday, that a security force had found caches of weapons and explosive materials south of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The detachments of the Federal Intelligence Agency carried out a raid operation in the area of al-Samadiyah in the district of al-Mada’in south of Baghdad, resulting in the seizure of caches of weapons and equipment.”

The source added, “The operation was based on confessions by terrorists that were arrested.”

62 ISIS members killed in operations around Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Baghdad Operations Command announced, that its security forces continued its military operations against ISIS in the areas around Baghdad and managed to kill more than 62 ISIS members and destructed many of ISIS equipment and hideouts.

Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “West of Baghdad areas including Albu Shajel, Nuaimiya and al-Karma witnessed the killing of 42 terrorists and injuring of three others, destruction of three vehicles, including a large bulldozer, in addition to the dismantling of 61 explosive devices.”

4 policemen killed, wounded in bomb blast south of Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, a source in the Ministry of Interior announced, that four police members were either killed or wounded in a bomb blast targeted their patrol south of Baghdad.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “This evening, an explosive device exploded near a police patrol while passing in Arab Jabour area south of Baghdad, killing a police member and wounding three others.”

The source, on condition of anonymity, added, “A security force rushed to the area and transferred the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment and the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while carried out an operation to search for the perpetrators of the bombing.”

Robbers knock over residence, Makes off with 45 million dinars

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday, a police source revealed, that unidentified gunmen stole 45 million dinars after storming a house in western Baghdad.

The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Tonight, unidentified gunmen wearing the military uniform stormed a house in al-Adl neighborhood in western Baghdad and stole 45 million dinars.”

The source added, “A security force cordoned off the area and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.”
