Suicide attacks kill Baghdadi Police Chief and 2 senior officers in Baghdadi area

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The Head of Baghdadi Council in Anbar Province announced on Wednesday the killing of Baghdadi area Police Chief, as well as two senior officers in suicide attacks targeting al-Baghdadi District (170 km west of Ramadi), while pointed out that the attacks resulted in the injury of 10 elements of the police and al-Hshed al-Shaabi fighters.

The Head of the Council Mal Allah al-Obeidi said, “The suicide attacks on al-Baghdadi area have resulted in the killing of the Police Chief Bassim al-Hadithi, Captain Saeed al-Obeidi and Major Mashkour Hadithi, while injured ten policemen, including six elements of al-Hshed al-Shaabi.”

Obeidi added, “ISIS attack was foiled and its fighters were not able to control ​​al-Baghdadi area,” pointing out that, “What was published in some media outlets about ISIS control of al-Baghdadi is completely untrue.”

Noteworthy, ISIS attacked the residential compound in al-Baghdadi with more than 12 car bombs driven by suicide bombers, killing and wounding dozens of members of the security forces and civilians, in addition to causing major damage to the residential compound.

20 ISIS members killed in aerial bombardment north of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – A source in the Joint Special Operations Command announced on Wednesday, that 20 members of ISIS were killed in an aerial bombardment carried out by the Iraqi Air Force backed by the international coalition aviation north of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad), while emphasized the destruction of eight vehicles belonging to ISIS.

The source said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “A force from the 10th Division of Anbar Operations Command backed by the Iraqi Air Force, Iraqi Army Aviation, in addition to the international coalition aviation were able to foil ISIS attack on al-Jiraishi area (14 km north of Ramadi ), killing of 20 members of the ISIS. ”

The source added, “The operation also resulted in the destruction of eight vehicles belonging to ISIS.”

Iraqi forces kill 35 ISIS militants in proactive operations east of Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The Federal Police Command announced on Wednesday the death of 35 members of the so-called ISIS in an operations east of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad), while indicated to the destruction of seven fixed targets and the cleansing of a number of buildings.

The federal police chief Raed Shakir Jawdat said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A force from the Rapid Intervention Brigade has launched, at dawn today, pre-emptive attacks on a number of ISIS hideouts in Husaiybah area east of Ramadi, killing 35 members of ISIS.”

Jawdat added, “Our attacks also resulted in the destruction of seven fixed targets and the cleansing of a number of buildings.”

ISIS booby-traps the only safe exit in Fallujah

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday, administration of Fallujah city in Anbar Province called for an “immediate intervention” to retake the city from ISIS and save 5,000 families entrapped inside the city, while also called the international coalition to intensify their air strikes on ISIS. The administration also pointed out that the only safe port that the security forces had opened for the families in the city has been booby-trapped by ISIS.

The Mayor of Fallujah Issa Sayer said in a press conference held in the capital Baghdad, “We appeal to the federal government, as well as the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to immediately intervene and conduct a military operation to save the city of Fallujah and the innocent detainees by the ISIS.”

Sayer added, “The number of families entrapped in Fallujah is about 5,000 families, mostly children and women who live difficult humanitarian situations without food or medicines,” pointing out that, “ISIS arrested hundreds on charges of cooperation with the security forces.”

“We call the international coalition to intensify its air strikes on ISIS members in Fallujah,” Sayer continued.

Total curfew imposed in Baghdadi area in search of ISIS suicide bombers

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Wednesday, a source in Anbar Province police announced, that the security forces imposed a total curfew in al-Baghdadi area west of Ramadi (110 km west of Baghdad) to search for the ISIS suicide bombers, after foiling their attack on the residential complex.

The source said in an interview received by IraqiNews.com, “The security forces in al-Baghdadi area (70 km west of Ramadi) imposed a curfew, including people, motorcycles and various kinds of vehicles from noon today until further notice, after obtaining information that the ISIS suicide bombers are roaming in the area.”

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added, “The suicide bombers entered al-Baghdadi area during the attack that were launched by ISIS today on the residential complex,” pointing out that, “The security forces and tribal fighters were heavily deployed in the entrances and exits of al-Baghdadi area, while carried out extensive operations in search for the suicide bombers.”
