Iraqi forces capture Hamidiya Bridge

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The commander of Anbar Operations Major General Ismail al-Mahalawi announced on Tuesday, that the security forces liberated al-Hamidiya Bridge east of Ramadi and raised the Iraqi flag over it.

Mahalawi said in a press statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “The army 10th brigade, backed by the tribal fighters carried out a military operation to liberate al-Hamidiya area east of Ramadi.”

Mahalawi added, “The army forces and the tribal fighters were able to liberate al-Hamidiya Bridge and raised the Iraqi flag over it, while also liberated the road linking between Albu-Eissa and al-Hamidiya Bridges.”

Mass grave containing 50 bodies discovered in eastern Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – On Tuesday the commander of Anbar Operations Major General Ismail al-Mahalawi announced, that the security forces discovered a mass grave containing the remains of 50 bodies, including children in eastern Ramadi.

Mahalawi said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “A force from Anbar police discovered a mass grave containing the remains of 50 bodies, including children during their search operations in al-Sufiya area in eastern Ramadi.”

Mahalawi added, “The security force and a team from Anbar Health Department will open the mass grave to identify the bodies.”

15 ISIS fighters killed in Baiji

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Federal Police Command announced on Tuesday the killing of 15 fighters of the so-called ISIS in a shelling targeted their headquarters in Baiji north of Tikrit (170 km north of Baghdad), while indicated to the liberation of dozens of families from ISIS grip west of Ramadi.

The Federal Police Captain Raed Jawdat revealed in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Second artillery brigade bombed ISIS headquarters in al-Fatha area north of Baiji, killing 15 members belonging to ISIS.”

Jawdat added, “The Federal Police forces managed to free 38 families that had been used by ISIS as human shields in al-Asriya Village west of Ramadi.”
