Hundreds of Syria rebels re-entered country from Turkey to reinforce trapped insurgents
[Ynet] At least two thousand Syrian rebel fighters re-entered the country from Turkey to reinforce insurgents fending off an assault by Syrian Kurdish-led militias seeking to capture the border stretch, several rebel sources said.The rebel fighters, with weapons and vehicles, headed into the embattled rebel stronghold of Azaz, in Aleppo province. The route across Turkey for fighters has become the only path for rebels to their north Aleppo enclave along the border after recent Syrian army advances in the northern Aleppo province closed the main lifeline into rebel territory for years. The UK's Observatory for Human Rights, which tracks violence across the war torn-country, also confirmed that hundreds had already crossed with weapons via a border crossing into Azaz.
