Taliban bomb kill 6 member of a single family in Paktika province
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least six members of a single family were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) kaboom in eastern Paktika...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... province of Afghanistan. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said the incident took place on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the vicinity of Wazkhwa district. MoI said the civilians were travelling in a cycle of violence when it struck an IED planted by Talibs, leaving six dead, including four children. The Talibs group has not commented regarding the incident so far which comes amid rampant insurgency led by the group across the country during the recent months. Paktika is among the relatively volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where Lions of Islam both from the Taliban group and the notorious Haqqani terrorist network are actively operating in a number of its districts. The anti-government armed snuffies are frequently using Improvised Explosive Device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target the security forces but in majority of such attacks the civilians are targeted.
