Major success against JeM: DIG
[Daily Excelsior] The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, North Kashmire, Garib Dass, today said that security forces this year achieved major success against Jaish-e-Mohammad...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf bannedthe group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat... (JeM) and would wipe out the traces of the outfit in North Kashmire soon. While addressing a presser after the arrest of a Pak Fidayeen, the DIG said that the JeM has received set back in Kashmire valley as "we have busted their network recently".
