St. Landry Parish Louisiana police Captain Clay Higgins resigns
[Mail] A Louisiana police captain who taunted members of a local gang in a tough-talking video has now resigned.Clay Higgins, based in St Landry Parish, addressed seven wanted men accused of being gang members in the clip and told them they would be hunted and tracked. He announced he had chosen to leave his job during a news conference on Monday. 'I wasn't forced to resign, the sheriff didn't ask for my resignation. But I turned in my badge as a matter of conscience,' he said. Higgins then said he had decided to resign because sheriff Bobby Guidroz had given him orders he could not follow.
