[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) have take full control of Dand-e-Ghori district from Talibs following weeks of clearance operations.

According to local government officials, the control of the district completely fell to Afghan forces after a major offensive was launched late last night.

The Talibs group has not commented regarding the report so far.

The Afghan forces launched clearance operations against the Talibs in Dand-e-Ghori district late in the month of January.

Several power lines were also damaged as the operations kicked off, cutting the power supply to capital Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
for several weeks before the technical staff managed to reconnect the lines.
