Hizbullah rejects alleged link with US narcotics ring
Hizbullah on Sunday denied American allegations that it was receiving âmillionsâ in proceeds from a narcotics ring based in the United States. On Friday, the US Drug Enforcement Administration said that a nationwide drug ring may have funnelled millions of dollars in profits to groups in the Middle East which Washington has labelled as âterrorist.â DEA spokesperson Asa Hutchinson said there was âincreasing evidenceâ that Hizbullah was one of the groups believed to be receiving money from the ring.Posted by: Fred Pruitt 2002-05-13 |
