Provincial governor front man Jilani Farhad confirmed the incident and said at least three civilians were also maimed in the incident.

No group including the Talibs has so far grabbed credit behind the incident.

Talibs and holy warriors from the other hard boy groups frequently use Improvised Explosive Device (IED) as the weapon of their choice to target the security forces which normally lead to civilian casualties.
