Woman facilitator of PAF Badaber attack arrested from Peshawar
[DAWN] PESHAWAR: Special police units on Thursday tossed in the slammerInto the paddy wagon wit' yez! a woman controller of the PAF Badaber attack from the Telaband area of the quiet provincial capital. Police officials claimed that the woman, Zar Zadgai, has confessed to facilitating the Lions of Islam who launched the attack on the PAF installation. The security source also claimed that Zadgai has confessed to providing food and empty plastic bottles for storing chemicals to the terrorists. In wake of the brazen assault, search and strike operations were initiated in Badaber and Matani areas during which police arrested at least 28 suspects, including 8 Afghan nationals. In what appeared to be a precisely planned and executed attack, Lions of Islam displayed their ability to breach the security of an Air Force camp by carrying out one of the deadliest assaults on a defence installation on the southern fringes of the quiet provincial capital, Dawn newspaper reported. Twenty-nine people -- among them personnel of the Pakistain Air Force and military and some civilians -- bit the dust and all 13 turbans who had stormed the camp were also killed.
