Interior Ministry says footage of torture by police is two years old
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Ministry of Interior says a footage circulating in media which shows police torturing a detainee is two years old and that the perpetrators were detained and trialed.Najib Danish, spokesperson for the said the footage was horrific and that the Ministry of Interior is very upset about it. He added that the government is committed to human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... . "Those coppers were tossed in the slammer Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'! who tortured a member of Taliban," Danish told BBC. The footage which prompted uproar in social media shows a detainee being dragged by a police vehicle. It shows another man wearing local clothes but standing among others wearing police uniform forcing the detainee to confess. Then most of them start beating the detainee.
