40 killed as troops destroy Boko Haram’s camp

The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... terrorists, troops of the 113 Battalion conducted a fighting patrol to Dunga general area on Thursday during which they discovered and destroyed a Boko Haram terrorists’ camp at Alajeri village in Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State. In the operation, the troops killed 40 Boko Haram terrorists. The troops also captured one General Purpose Machine Gun, one Rocket Propelled Grenade 7, six AK-47 rifles, two Fabrique Nationale rifles, 10 magazines, 188 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... ) ammunition and 64 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition. Other items recovered by the troops included three mobile phones, six copies of the Holy Koran and 20 cycle of violences. The troops, according to the front man of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sani Usman, are in high spirits because of the success of the operation, coupled with the fact that there was no casualty or injury on the part of the troops. Osman added: "Operations to clear all known Boko Haram hard boyz camps and hideouts are ongoing as troops remain committed to the clearance and apprehension of the Boko Haram hard boyz in the country."
