Female police officer shot dead in Kandahar province
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A female police officer was rubbed out by unknown gunnies in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan, local officials said.A local security official confirmed the incident and said the police officer was working with the provincial passport department. The official speaking on the condition of anonymity further added that the dear departed officer has been identified as Fawzia. Kandahar, the birth place of the Taliban group, has been witnessing relative peace during the recent months, however the anti-government armed turbans have recently stepped up insurgency activities in parts of this province. Unknown gunnies rubbed out two de-minders in a similar attack in Maiwand district of Kandahar province earlier this month.
