NPA leader nabbed in Davao del Sur
 [PNA] A joint military and police operation has led to the capture of a ranking New People's Army leader and recovered the body of his comrade who was killed during a gun battle in Matanao town, Davao Del Sur Wednesday morning.
The arrested militant was identified as Joan Casamorin, reportedly the vice-commander of Guerilla Front 72 of the Far South Mindanao Regional Committee. He is facing charges for robbery, kidnapping, four counts of murder and robbery with homicide. Casamorin was injured when he tried to resist.

Recovered from his possession was a gun, ammunition, three improvised explosive devices and the body of a certain "Jeb-jeb,"
a NPA militant reportedly killed during an earlier clash.
