ISIS executes 6 in Manij
[ARA News] ERBIL ــ Extremists of the Islamic State (ISIS) have executed six civilians on various charges in Manbij city in Syria’s northern province of Aleppo, local sources reported on Tuesday.

Speaking to ARA News in Manbij, media activist Nasser Taljbini said that ISIS jihadis executed six civilians in Manbij and its countryside on various charges in a week, including apostasy, opposing the group, and spying for anti-ISIS forces.

“Daesh shot four civilians dead in the Dalla roundabout west of Manbij, three of them were killed for violating the group’s regulations and the fourth was killed on charges of spying for anti-ISIS troops, like the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG),” Taljbini reported, using an acronym for ISIS.

The hardline group also beheaded both Abdul Razak al-Asmar, 28, and Imad al-Sheikh, 47, from the village of Jeb Hasan Agha near Manbij, on charges of “apostasy”, eyewitnesses reported on Tuesday.

In the meantime, ISIS has started evacuating families of its own jihadis in Manbij and transferring them to Raqqa and Maskana, Taljbini said. This comes amid continuous advance by western-backed rebels in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.

ISIS had earlier executed three men from one family in Manbij city in Syria’s northern province of Aleppo, after accusing them of insulting the group’s self-declared Caliphate. “The three brothers were beheaded [last February] at the Dadat square in Manbij suburb in front of dozens of people,” locals reported.

Since its control over large parts of Syria and Iraq, ISIS has been executing, torturing and abducting thousands of civilians. However, the group’s power declined over the past few months, especially after the U.S.-led coalition forces intensified attacks on its headquarters in the two war-torn countries.
