Over 100 Taliban insurgents killed in Helmand airstrikes
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Talibs suffered heavy casualties as a result of the Arclight airstrikes conducted in a bid to suppress the activities of the murderous Moslem group which have been rampant in different parts of the country amid efforts to end the ongoing violence through reconciliation efforts.

According to a statement released by the provincial government media office, over 20 holy warriors were killed in an Arclight airstrike conducted in Marjah district on Friday.

The statement further added a safe haven of the Talibs was destroyed in the air raid, preventing the Talibs to use the safe haven for coordinating terrorist attacks and manufacturing explosives.

A school compound was used by the Talibs for the manufacture of explosives and coordinating terrorist attacks, the statement added.

In the meantime, the commander of 505th Corps of the Afghan National Army conducted air raids in Nad-e-Ali, Marjah and Nawa districts, leaving over 100 Talibs dead or maimed.

The Talibs have not commented regarding the reports so far which comes as the holy warriors affiliated with the group have been attempting to intensify attacks in different part of Helmand

The officials had earlier announced that the Taliban group has been attempting to shift the group’s grand council from Quetta city of Pakistain to Helmand province as the group has intensified attacks in this province during the recent months.
