Two soldiers killed in clash with Maoist militants
 [Manila Bulletin] Two Philippine soldiers were killed and four others were injured in two separate encounters with communist New People's Army guerrillas in Bukidnon and Agusan del Sur Tuesday, according to reports. An initial report received here also stated that an undetermined number of rebels were either killed or injured during the two skirmishes.The slain soldiers were killed in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. In the encounter, another soldier was wounded while dozens of militants were shot but were evacuated by their comrades. In another clash at the outskirts of Veruela, Agusan del Sur, three soldiers were reportedly injured. The clashes happened a day after the NPA celebrated its 47th founding anniversary.
