Six fourth schedulers arrested

I'm comin' out! six people who were on the fourth schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act and were thought to have links with banned ...the word bannedseems to have a different meaning in Pakistain than it does in most other places. Or maybe it simply lacks any meaning at all... organizations. Many arrests were made during the operation which was started across the province after the bombing in Lahore on Sunday, which killed more than 70 people and injured many more. As part of the operation, those who were placed on the fourth schedule are being monitored more closely. A total of 11 people who were on the watch list were arrested from various areas including two from Rangoo and three in the limits of the Attock Khurd cop shoppe. The Hassanabdal police also arrested 24 workers of the Sunni Tehrik ...formed in Karachi in 1992 under by Muhammad Saleem Qadri. It quickly fell to trading fisticuffs and assassinations with the MQM and the Sipah-e-Sahaba, with at least a half dozen of its major leaders rubbed out. Sunni Tehreek arose to become the primary opposition to the Deobandi Binori Mosque, headed by Nizamuddin Shamzai, who was eventually bumped off by person or persons unknown. ST's current leadership has heavily criticized the Deobandi Jihadi leaders, accusing them of being sponsored by Indian Intelligence agencies as well as involvement in terrorist activities... for arranging protests and staging a sit in on G.T.
