Top Taliban commander killed in Afghan army raid in Kunduz province
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A top Taliban capo has been killed in a raid conducted by Afghan army and in coordination with the Afghan police forces in northern Kunduz province.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the Taliban capo was identified as Mawlavi Jahangir who was killed along with 2 others in Qala-e-Zal district.

MoD further added that 12 snuffies were killed in a separate operation in Dehrawood district of Urugan province and 8 others were maimed.

According to an operational update by MoD, 3 snuffies were killed during a separate operation in Mata Khan district of Paktia and center of Ghazni province.

The Talibs group has not commented regarding the report so far which comes amid surging violence across the country.

The Afghan forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations amid rampant Taliban-led insurgency in a bid to curb the terrorist related activities of the bad boys.

The increase in operations comes amid growing concerns that the snuffies will step up attacks across the country as the weather gets warm.
