Russia arrests five Daesh suspects
[RFE/RL] Russia's security agency said it arrested five suspects linked to the Daesh who were preparing an attack in southern Russia.The Federal Security Service (FSB) said that the suspects were arrested in the town of Pallasovka in the Volgograd region, 900 or so kilometers south of Moscow. The FSB said the suspects had explosives and weapons, and were involved in trying to recruit local residents to work for Daesh. Russian officials say that 5,000-7,000 residents of Russia and other ex-Soviet nations have traveled to Syria to join Daesh. Posted by: ryuge 2016-04-10 |
