Pakistan Continues Missile Attack On Nangarhar
Nangarhar provincial officials on Monday raised concerns over Pakistan's cross-border shelling, which has been ongoing for two days.

Security officials from the 201st Selab Military Corps said that Afghan security forces are waiting for central government to give orders for them to respond to the missile attacks.

Provincial council and civil society members have called on government to act.

"Our request from government and NATO is to help forces respond to Pakistan," said Zabiullah Zamari, a provincial council member.

"We have witnessed such shelling in the past as well and efforts have been made to undermine Afghanistan's national sovereignty," said Arshad Raghand, a civil society member.

Security officials in Nangarhar said that in the past two days, sporadic battles have occurred between Afghan forces and Pakistan military.

Nangarhar provincial governor's spokesman Attaullah Khogyani confirmed the reports and said security forces are waiting for orders from government on how to respond to the missile attacks.

"Whatever is needed we've done with the guidance of the central government and I can't necessarily share everything with the media," Khogyani said.

This latest round of alleged attacks has reportedly led to the death of at least one Afghan soldier. Two others have been wounded.
