President Ghani to receive list of terrorists sentenced to death

will receive a list of individuals sentenced to death over gunnies activities, days after President Ghani vowed to implement the judiciary institutions’ verdicts regarding the terror suspects.

Deputy Presidential Palace front man Shah Hussain Murtazvi told news hounds that President Ghani has ordered the judiciary institutions to further review the cases involving sentences awarded to the individuals for gunnies activities.

Murtazvi further added that the list will be provided to President Ghani today, insisting that the gunnies would be hanged to death once the cases have been reviewed in a bid to ensure fairness in the verdicts.

The decision to review and implement the judiciary institutions’ verdicts regarding the terror suspects was taken days after Kabul

At least 64 people were killed and 347 others were maimed after a group of Lions of Islam launched coordinated attack on VIP protection unit in Pul-e-Mahmood Khan area of the city on 19th April.

The Taliban group grabbed credit behind the attack but the officials said they doubt the Pakistain-based Haqqani terrorist network plotted and carried out the attack.

The attack sparked furor among the Afghan officials and citizens of country who called on the government to ensure justice is served by implementing the judiciary institutions’ verdicts against the terrorists, specifically Anas Haqqani who is kept in the custody of the Afghan forces.

Anas Haqqani is a close family member of Haqqani network founder and was tossed in the clink
