Roadside bomb hits Ethiopian army convoy in central Somalia
A roadside bomb targeted Ethiopian army convoy serving with the African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM) as they drove along a strategic road in west of Beledweyne, the regional capital of Hiiraan, an Eyewitness said on Friday.The bomb which was planted besides the road of Nur Fahan village struck an armored personnel carrier belonging to Ethiopian troops, according to a resident who requested to not be named due to security reasons. At least two innocent civilians who were near the scene of the blast suffered slight wounds and were taken to a hospital in Beledweyne city, some 350Km north of Mogadishu.
