Iraqi Army officer dies in Baqubah
(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Tuesday, a local source in Diyala Province revealed, that an officer was killed and two soldiers were wounded in a clash with ISIS north of Baqubah.The source said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “A force from the army clashed with an armed cell belonging to ISIS in the vicinity of an agricultural village near al-Azim area (64 km north of Baqubah),” pointing out that, “The clash resulted in the killing of an army officer and wounding of two soldiers.” The source, who requested anonymity, added, “The army force managed to kill three Iraqi ISIS militants, who were forming a sleeper cell.” Posted by: badanov 2016-05-04 |
