A month after he arrived in Singapore, he began recruiting followers among his countrymen working here, with the help of material linked to terror groups Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and al-Qaeda.

By March, he had set up a clandestine group called Islamic State in Bangladesh (ISB). The group had an organization structure with specific roles for its members: leader, deputy leader, and persons in charge of duties like finance, the Home Affairs Ministry said Wednesday.
