10 die in bombing in Baqubah
(IraqiNews.com) Diyali – The Iraqi Interior Ministry announced on Monday, that 10 people had been killed and 27 others were wounded in a bomb blast that took place east of Baqubah.The spokesperson for the ministry, Maj. Gen. Saad Moen, said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “An explosive device went off at a popular restaurant in the area of Shafta (east of Baqubah),” adding that, “The number of victims amounted to 10 dead and 27 wounded.” For his part, an informed source in Diyali told IraqiNews.com, that the security forces had rushed into the area and blockaded the area of the explosion, while ambulances transferred the injured to a nearby hospital and the dead bodies to the forensic medicine authority.
